Design Process

Initial Consulation

Creating stylish and functional spaces requires collaboration.  In our initial meeting, we listen to the overall design goals for the project.  The initial meeting is hosted at our design studio so the client can discover our resource room including fabric, textures, and examples of our work.

The primary goal of the consultation is to determine if the client/ designer relationship is compatible.  We will discuss the scope of the project as well as a general discussion of style, color as well as timeline and budget.

One of our firm’s greatest strengths is the relationships we build within our community of clients and contractors.  It is the foundation of our 25+ years of success in design.

Agreement

We will discuss and agree upon the factors included in the design process.  This includes reviewing the budget, timeline, design fees and a process agreement/ contract will be prepared for the client to review and sign.

Design Development

We will meet onsite at the project location to learn more about the functionality of the space and the design goals of the project.  We will discuss color palette and overall design style.  We will begin to take note of existing furnishings to incorporate into the new design.  Detailed notes with measurements for window treatments, paint colors, flooring options as well as other specifics will be discussed and noted.

Depending on the scope of the project, follow up meetings may be scheduled to select elements for the design including flooring, lighting and other architectural aspects.  Clients will be presented with detailed floor plans, color and texture options as well as furniture recommendations.  As the collaborative continues, other accents will be incorporated into the design.  Fi the design project is out of the immediate area, communication via email will be essential and samples will be mailed
